I recently built my new pc, everything is working good, except some sensor readings.
I bought 3 fans, coolermaster,3pin connector, also got 3pin to molex adapter, and i connected them with 3pin connector to motherboard. One of them was quite loud so in bios i switched them to work in silent mode. Now when i look at CPU ID HW MONITOR , sensors report that fans are spining at 250k RPM. And asus sensor monitor reports same numbers.
My MB is ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0. I dont have any problems with CPU fan, just with other 3. Could this be some kinda of error because they are 3pin fans, and only 4pin fans can be speed managed. Could it be that they acctualy spin around 1000rpm and increase rotations only if temp goes up?
How will this affect my pc, wrong sensors readings.
Thank you for help :D

yeah sounds like a mobo error, have you looked on the asus paige for your board and updated the bios? if not check that as it could be fixed in a later iteration.

well i can tell you that your fans are NOT running at that speed. i wouldn't worry about it, as long as there spinning and your happy with the noise level and cooling ability it's no a problem at all.
