I've finally decided on headphones I want to buy (Sennheiser HD 598) which costs $229 + tax online but I'm getting it in a month or two so yeah. I was wondering what are any good mics I can attach to it that would clearly pick up my voice and preferably stay out of my field of vision. Anything AU$50 or less would be nice.

Zalman ZM-MIC 1. It's about $12 and you can clip it to your headphones or just leave it on the desk somewhere. Mine gets a bit of feedback but nothing that my friends complain about. Usually moving it seems to fix it, so it's probably interference from my phone or something. Also it's multi-directional so everyone can hear whatever is going on around you through the mic. I live near a busy road and my mate thought I was pretending to be a car to get his attention.

Are there any better ones that are crystal clear with minimal/no 'feedback'?

When I was looking last it was either really cheap or $150+ but just had a look now and the AntLion ModMic or AudioTechnica Clip on look like they are worth a bit of research, although over $50. If you get either of them and they turn out to be good, let me know and i'll get one ASAP.

I've watched a few youtube reviews of the ModMic 4 and it seems to be pretty good. I think i'm going to get one, just need to think of a way to tidy up the wires, maybe a wrap-around cable sleeving.
