Hi everyone, I've recently ordered a Kingston Digital 120 GB SSD.

(Link http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00A1ZTZOG/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

By looking at the interior, my computer seems to have spots for multiple drives, I currently have a 1TB HDD and I'd like to add in this SSD as a second only for some games and programs, and perhaps even to boot up windows (If that's easy, I don't exactly know.)

So, I don't know how this works? I've tried looking on youtube and google, I havent really found any answers I really understand.

This is my computer http://www.amazon.com/CyberpowerPC-Gamer-Ultra-GUA380-Desktop/dp/B009O7LZYK

So how exactly would I install this? I'm not sure if I need to buy another cable for it or if my computer has one already. It's a mess inside the computer, I have it upgraded to a GTX 660 ti and replaced the top, back, bottom fans with a better fan, however the front fan is currently off.

Also, what would be the steps to making windows boot off the SSD without taking anything out of my HDD?

(Edit) Oh and also the power storage unit has been upgraded.

Solution
Your motherboard will come with sata cables, the same ones that you connected from your hdd to your motherboard, you just get anotehr one of them, connect it

How can I tell if my motherboard has multiple sata cables? Or do they usually only come with one

It looks like my disc bay has the same wire going into it, could I disconnect that and use it for the SSD? I'm not sure if its the same wire though.

In my experience, most mobos package 2 sata cables, so I'd guess one's used for the primary drive and one for the optical. You can get cables pretty cheap from just about any parts dealer (newegg, monoprice, etc, etc), the fun part is going to be making sure you have an extra sata power cable free, and for that we'd need to know the PSU you've got installed.

Yes but if I can use that instead why not? I never use my disc drive thing anyways..

Okay, according to specs you have 9 SATA power connectors, so you should be able to find one to use for the new HDD.

Ohh, I found it, thank you, also while I have it open, I have the front fan (Which is stock from when I bought the computer) and that front fan is unplugged, I have a total of 3 fans plugged in, where would I find the plug to plug in the fourth fan and also does my computer have one? I'm looking around right now and the ports for those type of plugs seem to be scattered around the motherboard..

I've noticed that one of my fans are connected to a cord that is directly connected to the PSU without even going to the motherboard? Perhaps I could do this with the other fan also? And my motherboard should have 4 fan headers since my computer has 4 spots to put fans right?..

Ah, I just hate buying small parts online, as you have to wait over a week for shipping
