The first thing to do is to use pure water to clean up the wet device, because if there are impurities in the water, it can cause shortcut to the circuits. The next is to dry the equipment properly and then dry it again and again and then wait... And finally pray and try it out.
That is why you should not try to use cellphone if it has dropped to a sea. The salt will make new connections inside the phone and those connections causes the biggest damage. I think that it is basically the same with tea, or coca cola or any other liquid. You have to get that stuff of first, and just after that try to dry the equipment. Otherwise there will be havoc among the circuits.
