I recently moved my pc to a bigger case. I thought the move would be simple, take everything out of old case, put stuff back in new case but it's been anything but. The first thing that happend was I couldn't get into bios at all. Kept getting 'error 45' eventually I got it to boot in by removing the two rams closest to the cpu.

I then pointed the boot order back to the SSD and no luck at all again . I gave up and decided to start with a fresh install of windows. I removed all the other drives as not to confuse anything and installed a new windows. But it STILL won't boot in. When the pc is turned on, the first splash screen doesn't see the SSD? It sees the DVD drive and underneath says something like 'no device detected'. Inside the bios it sees the SSD and I made sure to change things from IDE to Achi. Then booting in it says something like 'no boot device detected'

I've been pulling my hair out about this and I've never encountered these problems before, especially this ram problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ripjaws 32gb (4x8gb)

as a follow up

Ive managed to install windows by changing from achi to ide. Ive never had to do this before. Ive installed all the drivers and rebooted. It still says 'device not detected' in the first splash screen but it does boot into windows.

however if I try and change it back to ACHI it wont boot.
