I am currently in the process of upgrading my PC. I have decided to go with an Fx-8320 and an R9 270x. I know that I need to find a mobo with the right chipset and amount of ram slots, but what else is significant when buying a motherboard?

Thanks

Start with a quality board.
I like Asus, and MSI, at the moment

I see it as picking a board with all the expansion slots and accessories you need, and not wasting money on the accessories you will never use, or don't need.

If you don't over clock, don't waste money on an overclocking board.
I you are not going to Crossfire, or SLI, get a cheaper board.

The basic performance is the same, on a cheaper chip set.
