Nah 780ti will be just good. The new series shouldnt be that any better than 780ti. The only problem is that when the new series release the 780ti price will go down so you might lose some money on that. There is not much for Nvidia to improve as there is already on their GPUs

A 780 Ti will allow for great gaming performance (Ultra @ 60+ FPS) for multiple years to come. At least until Nvidia's next series of cards (GTX1000?) comes out and probably longer.
I wouldn't recommend buying a 780 Ti right now because the 800/900 series is right around the corner but if you already bought one there's nothing to worry about, you still have an extremely solid card.

The 780 Ti runs on GK110 at 384-bit vs the 980 on GM204 at 256-bit, so there's no reason to panic now. Even if the 980 does have a huge performance jump, which has happened before when the 680 was released and blew the lid off the 580, then you could sell your 780 Ti towards purchasing a 980.

Why would it worry you that new graphics card would be better? The new ones will always be better. Enjoy your card and dont worry about it.
