I'm trying to install RAID drivers on my new motherboard, the ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer, and having trouble. The manual refers to loading drivers from a support CD, but I can't get anything to load from the CD. I can setup RAID through the BIOS but a different member driver of the RAID reports as failed everytime I restart the computer. I think it has something to do with the drivers.

I explained the issue in great detail here in a previous post: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2278795/raid0-ssds-fail-asrock-motherboard.html
but I think the length of that post is scaring people off. So I figured I'd give a quick summary here and see if anyone had any ideas on the issue Im having.

Thanks and any help would be great appreciated!

Download and install Microsoft Windows DVD/USB Tool @ http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

This will allow you to transfer the windows 7 DVD or ISO to a USB pendrive, 4GB in size will do and can be a cheapo model.

Now, we need some drivers, select Win 7 x64 @ http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20Z97%20Killer/?cat=Download

Download what you need for when Windows 7 is up and running.

Now to get Windows installed, download the SATA Floppy Image ver:13.1.0.1058

Extract the ZIP and copy the folder f6flpy-x64 to your USB.

Now boot of the USB and when Windows gets to the part where you sleectd rive to install, choose to load the driver and point it to the folder f6flpy-x64 on the USB. This...

Now continue the install and then setup the drivers you downloaded.

Thanks to both of you guys for the quick reply! So you think it does have to do with the RAID drivers and that my SSDs aren't bad?

@das_stig - I'm working on the steps you provided now. If you read the longer post I put up with the detailed description of what I did, was I enabling RAID the wrong way then? I guess I don't get, since I'm using a RAID0 for my boot drive, don't I need to have RAID enabled before I install Win7. That's why I was doing it through the BIOS. So are you saying to leave the SATA Mode option in the BIOS set to AHCI and not try to enable RAID through the BIOS? Thanks again for your help!
