Need a Good WiFi Card/USB

I built a gaming rig about 3 months ago.

Everything seems to be working fine except for the WiFi Card. I mean, it works, but it's terrible and can't seem to get a strong signal strength or quality.

I have my 21.5" mid-2011 iMac right next to my Gaming PC and the WiFi on that is much better and when playing games like CS:GO the ping is very stable and quite low (around 30-50, considering that the router is on the bottom floor on the opposite side of the house and the computer is on the 3rd floor)

My current WiFi Card is the TP-Link TL-WN751ND 150 Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter.

What I'm asking is that is there any way to increase the signal strength and quality, or if not, are there any good cards that you would recommend for me to get that would drastically improve the connection as right now it is completely impossible. My ping is never stable and goes up to as high as 900 leaving me unable to even move or hear voices in-game.

It also takes a very long time just to load a website or watch a video on YouTube.

I don't really know in terms of measurements how far away the router is from my PC, and I can't move my PC closer or use an ethernet cable.

I don't want something overly-expensive but I need something that gets the job done and does it correctly. I don't mind if it is a USB wifi dongle either as I have plenty of USB 3 slots available on the PC.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: My router is the Virgin Super Hub 1 and we are supposed to be getting speeds of 100MB/s
