ARC is technically what was Perfect World Europe, AFAIK. The client pretty much works like Blizzard's or, to a degree, like Steam's. One account for all games, associate games to account, friend management, download, install and play.

As for RPGs, I'd give a try to Vindictus, TERA or Neverwinter, but they kinda require the nice rig to play, especially the former one. Their "cash shops" are also slightly on the game-breaking side (especially the former, *cough*Nexon*cough*), but they're not mandatory to let you achieve a decent level.
Should you not meet the requirements, Path of Exile, is quite fun and addicting, while not requiring too much power from your computer; also, you could almost say it's Diablo 2.5 for free, and last time I checked the cash shop wasn't game-breaking either. Definitely worth a try :)

Blacklight and Alliance of Valiant Arms (also known as A.V.A.) make up for nice free FPSs, but the cash shop there is beyond broken...get a weapon from there and, provided you got minimal aiming skills, you win. Pretty much what happens with any F2P FPS anyway, reason why I'm not continuing on examples with them.

Otherwise, you could wait for a western release of Blade and Soul, like almost a quarter of its population...
That, or play in eastern servers with unimaginable lag :D

I'm curious, but how can LoL be even slightly p2w when the only useful thing they sell are extra account exp/in-game currency items?
You can still do more than well without them, although they do speed up your way to lv 30, and the rest are literally just costumes...

You can buy riot points and buy all the heroes even the ones out of rotation hence why i said it was f2p but also a bit p2w

LoL is 0% p2w I'm sorry mate. Paying users have 0 advantage over non-paying users. Sure buying the new champs are a good thing IF you are into the champ, and you know how to use it. Also if you are playing regulary (as a free player) you can buy everything at the same time as paying users since you will be having more than enough IP by then. /off

Good F2P games are (by genre, my taste)

Moba: LoL, Dota, Dota2, Smite (if its appealing)
FPS: PlanetSide2 (MMOFPS though, offers more value than P2P AAA games), Heroes and Generals (played around 300hours in the beta and it keeps getting better), TF2
MMORPG: Tera, ArcheAge (launching on the 16th of September)
ARPG: Path of Exile (lot better than Diablo3 imo)
Survival: Unturned (kinda good with friends)

I don't really play LoL and this might be completely wrong, but what if a team of players with only the default/weekly champs plays against a team of players with every champ unlocked, wouldn't the team with all champs be at a big advantage in terms of counter-picking and so-forth? From what I've seen in competitive LoL, they place a lot of value on team composition, counter-picking, etc, and picking champs that can "shut-down" or "out-farm" others in lanes

By the time you hit Lvl30 where competitive play starts you will have around 20-25 champions unlocked + weekly free champs, thats more than enough. Also people mostly use the RP to buy skins, not champions since they can unlock them by playing the game and gaining IP (everyone gains IP, you can only buy RP), but you cant unlock skins with IP.

Also nobody holds a gun to your face to start playing Ranked games as soon as you hit lvl30, you can keep unlocking champions without playing a single ranked game. Also it's highly unlikely that you want to play every role possible, lets say you stick with 2-3 roles which means you will have around 8 characters for each role. From that 8 you can counter the enemy (provided they picked champ before you, and you know the counterpicks of course).

Also let me share with you my personal experience:
Started playing rankeds 3 months ago (had ~30 champs back then) and I hit diamond division a month ago, without spending a single euro.
