Hello Everyone,
I am Hamza. I have a friend who is offering me a Computer. Its a Dell Optiplex 780. I want to ask that is it good enough for games like Battlefield 3, NFS World, COD MW3....etc at medium settings.
The Specs are as follows,
Processor: 3GHz Core 2 Duo (6MB CACHE)1333 FSB
RAM: 4GB DDR3
HDD: 500GB SATA
Chipset: Intel® Q45 Express Chipset w/ICH10DO
Graphic Card: GeForce 1GB GT 430
Will the FPS drop at Medium settings? Is it good enough?
Regards,
Hamza Noman

PS: I am a beginner

But you could also choose a 2GB GT 630 right? I should have mentioned the memory sizes anyway, sorry for that.

Anyway, for 1024x768 you won't need more than 1GB, and you'll notice the GTS 250's extra performance even at higher resolutions.
The GTS 250 also has a 512MB version, which is still fine for 1024x768 but it'll have problems on higher resolutions.

Can you give any suggestion and Rank the cards i mentioned above.

Im in Pakistan and he is offering 18k RS or 180$ including some extra items
I think its a good deal because the specs and the grapgic card are not bad.

If i go to Youtube, i find people playing BF3 at Medium to High and COD:GHOST at Low Resolution.
And will the game be playable at Medium? And is Medium resolution that bad?
Also, which is preffered 1024X786 or 1920X1080?

Thankyou for your help. One last question, he gave me two other options.
So what do you recommend, GTS 250 or GT 630 or GT 440.
Thanks

The GT 630 and the GT 440 are the same card with a different name. The GTS 250 performs better but doesn't support DirectX 11 so you may lose some graphical features in some games. Most games don't use DirectX 11 features yet so you should be fine.

My recommendation, go with the GTS 250.

But let me remind you that the GT 440 is 2GB and the rest are 1 GB.
Thanks
