I am going to buy this gaming headset http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Stereo-Gaming-Headset-T...

I plan to hook it up to my ps3 with some RCA cables, a usb sound card adapter, like this-
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MSS6CS/ref=s9_psim...

and a RCA to 3.5mm like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Manhattan-inches-Stereo-Splitter-...

I want to extend the headsets cable (which has a 3.5mm microphone jack and a 3.5mm stereo audio jack) and I wanted to know how?

For the audio 3.5mm, I could use http://www.amazon.com/iMBAPrice-iMBA-PS-06MF-6-Feet-Pla...

but im stuck on what to use for the microphone 3.5mm jack. Im not sure if this would work http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-MUHSMF2M-Position-He...

I would like to hear multiple suggestions because I've asked other people and some of them say i could use 2 stereo audio cables but I'm pretty sure that would not work.

Thanks for the help.

yes that would work fine but these cables get bad very quickly say 3 -4 month of use .
