can you remve stor.e partners drive?

just a question has anyone tried to open the toshiba store partner externall hdd to rmove the drive inside?
my partners laptop has had a hdd failure and i need a 2.5 drive fast so thought about ripping apart this spare external but cant see how to open it
any thoughts would help

All ready-made external hard drive enclosures are held together by concealed clips around the seam which is usually underneath.
Prising around that seam should crack it open at the risk of cracking the enclosure, they weren't designed to be opened easily 'cos the manufacturer doesn't want you to stick another drive in it.

Now having said that, the actual drive interface is often a proprietary one which doesn't conform to the IDE or SATA standard, so you wouldn't be able to connect the drive internally or via a third-party enclosure as the connector wouldn't match.

gave it a shot and luckily it was a SATA adapter and i never cracked the case
thanks for the response i wouldnt have tried until i knew if it was likely clips or some hidden screw
