Ok noworries, i should have given you more benefit of the doubt and i apologize.

dovah-chan is spot-on and determining performance will depend on the graphics card. It's not uncommon for discrete gpus to be better than integrated, although the latter concerning significant improvements made from both AMD and Intel with their incorporated graphics in cpus are still only comparable to entry level graphics cards.

Since you mentioned 144hz monitor and assuming you want the best for it, keep in mind, the monitor's optimal performance (beyond desktop apps) will depend greatly on graphics card, resolution and game. To see a benefit you'll be wanting a strong 100fps in games. Looking up or google visual sync and how it works will give you a better idea and also what it takes to run 144hz monitors.

its okay man no need to apologize
yes ofcourse i would want the best gpu for my monitor
infact im waiting for the gtx 880
and have installed a Nvidia GT 640 temporarily
so if i have plugged in my DVI cable into the MoBo and not my GPU does it mean that im only using my integrated graphics and not my discrete GPU?
