Hi guys if I play games on my system after about 15 to 30 minutes of playing the psu starts to make a strange ticking noise should I be worried ? Or must I just send it back for a new one ? Its about 3 days old

hard to say I don't think it should be ticking it may be safe to return it cause if its due to a bad part or something fails it may take out something like your vid- card or the board with or it may last a life time.. your call

Are you absolutely sure, its the PSU thats making the noise? It could a fan hitting a wire. Open up the case and play the game to find the source of the noise.

Well Í shipped it of to the supplier now ill have to wait because they first want to test it them self I just hope they will replace it and it can't be that its to weak for my system ( i3 3220 cpu, asus h61 mb, 4gb ram, r9 270 oc gpu, 1tb hd ,dvd writer ) it sounded if it labouring the psu and the psu fan spins fast and loud and then it makes that ticking sound
