Blue Screen Error

Hey guys,

I've got a 'homemade' computer, a couple of years old, and recently I've been having some blue screen issues.

It mainly happens when I play Divinity: Original Sin through Steam.

I updated my drivers and the problem went away for a few days, but it has returned.

Error code is 0xFFFFFA800924E610

Says my driver is stuck in an infinite loop. I downloaded the AMD Raptor Gaming Evolved app and got the latest update for my driver, but like I said, the problem returned. There aren't any updates for the driver through the program, and I'm not sure what the problem could be.

If you need more info, let me know.

Matt-

looks like a memory address rather than a bugcheck code.

if you can find the memory .dmp file for and place it on a cloud server somewhere. I can take a quick look with a windows debugger. Or you can download bluescreenview.exe or whocrashed.exe and see if those programs can give you a hint as to the problem.

if you play via steam, most likely the bugcheck will be caused by the video driver or the ethernet driver on your machine.
You would want to update them both from the vendor. (not microsoft)

Sorry for the delay in responding.

I've noticed that the 'unexpected shut down' occurs at the same time as a video hardware error.

Description
A problem with your video hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly.

Not sure how to get the files onto the cloud. I can't open them with any programs either. I get a bunch of gibberish.

I'll try those programs and see if I can get something.

bugcheck 117 is cause by your video card failing to respond to windows.

normally, you start with a update to your video driver directly from the vendor.
most often amd or nvidia

the unexpected shutdown a normal entry in the eventlog after a bugcheck.
