I'm having a bad year with electronics. First my ipad's wifi malfunctioned. Then my 7 year old laptop passed away. Now my 5 year old desktop's hard drive failed. So I'm in the market for a new computer.

The only pc game I play is World of Warcraft. I am happy with a FPS of about 30-50 (cause that's the best I've ever played at.). My other uses of a desktop include Photoshop, streaming music, internet. Pretty basic needs except for the playing of WoW.

I've found a few different computers on Walmart.com. (Yeah I know its Walmart...but I get a discount due to my husband working there). Can someone please tell me if any of these computers is worth getting and if they would play World of Warcraft decently?

My computer that has the dead hard drive has a Sapphire Radeon HD6670 1 GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card which plays WoW so I could always just put that into whatever computer I get if the card isn't that great. I'm really just looking for advice on a good computer. Any advice or suggestions is welcome.

If you think you may want to upgrade in the future (new gfx card), don't get the HP. This forum is full of HP owners that can't get their new retail cards to work on their HP desktops.
The Cyberpower has the better gfx card (R7-250). If you don't want to build your own, that would be the preferable choice in my opinion.

Cyberpower PC and iBuyPower are owned by the exact same company. A while back, I ordered a PC from CyberpowerPC. Biggest mistake of my life. Almost every thing had to be RMA'd , from the graphics card to the hard drive to the RAM. I ended up buying a iBuyPower desktop for 1000 bucks and it started to work fine. 5 days into it, blue screen of death, HDD fails, and GPU overheating.

I was extremely suspicious of both companies as they both have similar websites and prices. I dug deeper, only to find out why they are so cheap. Every component that goes into your iBuyPower / Cyberpower PC Trash is REFURBISHED. EVERY SINGLE PART IS BOUGHT REFURBISHED. I called them up and when I confronted them they immediately hung up. Please, the reviews on cyberpowerpc.com and ibuypower.com are FAKE! They have people write 5 star reviews just to make them look good.
If you want a POS trash PC, I highly recommend these two companies.

As for HP, there usually isnt that many issues with them, but ask yourself this. What brand motherboard is in my HP computer? Oh ya, that china piece of junk with no brand. Ask yourself that same question for the PSU, RAM, and Hard Drive, and Case. Do you really want to spend money on that?

My advice: ironsidecomputers, digital storm, and xidax are ALL good companies. They stress test all parts to make sure nothing is broken on you when you receive it. Of course, nothing beats building your own.

But please, stay far away from CyberpowerPC and iBuyPower. Please.

Thank you for the advice. I've looked on the sites and found a few that match my budget (because spending 1000s on a pc right now isn't going to work). Which of these would you say is the better buy?

And one last question then I will stop bugging you wonderful folks? If given a choice, would you choose Windows 7 or Windows 8.1?

The digital Storm has the best upgrade path, but the Minion Ultra has the faster gfx card. The CPUs are fairly comparable for gaming. I'd go with the i3-4350/GTX 750 Ti now and when you feel you need more performance, upgrade the gfx card. The i3 can handle just about any card. So can the Athlon, but that is the top of the food chain for that socket (FM2/FM2+). The i3 can be replaced by an i5 or even an i7.
