Are these good parts for a a gaming PC for the price? I plan to play games such as Minecraft, TF2, Battlefield, and some other games at 1080p and atleast at high settings and 60 fps average.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590
GPU: Asus Radeon R9 280 3gb
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A
HDD: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB
PSU: Corsair CX 500W

Also is the Asus VX228H monitor good for gaming, its the best monitor I could find for the price.

Yep, could save a little going to the BLUe model, same basic drive, just different marketing trying to get people to spend extra on the black - would reconsider the PSU, the CX line uses cheap caps, the monitor's a good one, should be pleased w/ it...the rest looks pretty good
