Connecting projector via VGA male to female data cable

When I try to connect Sony VPL-DX 100 projector with desktop HP 110-215in via VGA male to female data cable ( having one male and two female type connector ), the image on projector screen is not full and some portion is missing. The image on monitor is o.k.. However, when I connect projector directly to the desktop ( without monitor ) without VGA male to female data cable, the image on projector screen is o.k. There is one VGA slot and one DVI-D slot on the desktop. I tried to change screen resolution, but it didn't work. I want the display of monitor and projector screen to be of the same dimensions and no cuts. Any solution please...??

I got the same problem before,i bought Luxcine projector on ebay two months ago,and that guy told me to adjust the aspect ratio,then the problem solved.

Try to adjust the Aspect Ratio of your projector in the menu,change the Aspect Ratio to :point-to-point model.Then you will get a full screen when connect to desktop.
