Best Video Card Under $50 Used/New to Replace Integrated Graphics 4600?

Hello,

I recently built a PC without a dedicated graphics card because I could not afford one at the time. I was wondering if it would be worth it to replace the integrated graphics I have now with a GPU that is around $50 (used or new, doesn't matter). I am currently saving up for a $400-$500 graphics card that I could have around the holidays, so I don't really want to spend too much on one for now.

All recommendations are welcome!

For that type of money you won't get anything NEW that is significantly better than integrated graphics and once you upgrade you won't need it. What I would suggest is buying a used Nvdia GTX460 on eBay - if you're lucky you'll pick one up for ~$50 which will play a lot of games and when you want to spend $400 you can probably sell it for close to what you paid for it. eVGA is a good brand - I still run 2 in SLI and they can handle pretty well anything I'm playing right now at 1900 x 1200.

If you want I'll sell you my GTX 295 for around $80, I can run BF4 on medium settings at 80FPS just make sure that it fits your case and I'm pretty sure that anybody here will agree that thats a good deal. Or I can also offer you a GTX 520 for $30 it could run BF4 on low settings at 20FPS although it would drop to 15 in heavy action areas.

thats good but hows a 295 stronger than a 520 lol. you couldnt do 60$ for the guy.

Thank you all for the replies!

@MT6Anime , While I do find that your $80 offer for your 295 is quite bountiful, I would like to stay within the range of $50 as I would prefer not to have to skip a meal or two a day (maybe/maybe not so serious.)

The 6870 on the other hand I find is also a very satisfying deal, and going over that much won't damage me too significantly. This is definitely the best contender as of now. If there are any more suggestions, please do not hesitate to post.

I could most definitely bid as well, but I prefer fixed prices as getting sweet deals bidding can be time consuming and I am somewhat impatient.

How could I forget about Craigslist? I just spoke to a guy who was selling a GeForce GTX 570 and I got it for a very delightful price of $50.

Thank you all, especially to delaro.
