I dropped my lap top OUCH!!! cracked the screen. I only need to get info and pics off the cracked PC herein lies my problem. I have been told that I could hook up my PC to my TV and load all onto a flash drive. My laptop only has a 15 pin DVI and the tv only has an HDMI connection I have hunted for the correct cable no luck. Any help would be great!!!
Thanks

The reason you are not finding a simple cable to convert your D-Sub 15, 3-Array VGA connector on your laptop to an HDMI connector is because it's not that simple. Your VGA output on your laptop outputs an analog video signal whereas HDMI is all digital. You need to actually convert the signal.

There are other means for extracting data from a failed laptop.

For example, if the laptop can still be booted to Windows, you should be able to log into it through a network, provided you have credentials, and browse your user folders. This can be done from another, working computer.

Another option would be to remove the hard drive from the laptop and install or attach it to another working computer. All of the files should be accessible...
