hi i am new to the site and forums...so i want to buy a new card and i want a bit help cause i don't have the knowledge and there are so many cards out there..so let me start
-i will use the card for 4-5 years at least
-i plan on playing witcher 3/dragon age 3 mostly
-i use a single monitor 1920x1080 resolotion
-i only care about gaming
-i won't overcloak for at least 3 years
-i don't plan to sli
-i don't care about noice that much
-pc stays on for a lot of time so i guess cooling/temperature is important to me
-i plan on using 400-500E maybe 20-30 more if its valid improvement
-i don't worry yet about power consumption or legth
-what is Physx?and is it worth it?

so let me ask u which card do you think is better for me and why?
-MSI R9 290x 489E
-Sapphire Tri-X OC R9 290 489E
-ASUS RADEON R9 290X 484E
-Palit VGA PCI X GTX 780 500E
-EVGA GEFORCE GTX780 520E
-EVGA GEFORCE GTX780 ACX SUPERCLOCKED 527E
-MSI VGA PCI X GTX 780 TF 520E

it seems that amd are 100E cheaper compared to nvdia so i can get R9 290x istead of gtx 780 but with these prices i cann't get sapphire r9 290x or nvidia 780ti but i can msi r9 290x or asus r9 290x so is the better cooling system of sapphire worth it??Do you expect any prices drop in the coming 2 months or shall i buy the card as soon i can?
In my search i used info from two providers in the city so other cards are missing. If you want more info please say..thanks in advance

Solution
I would get the MSI r9 290x as it had one of the best performing coolers for both temperature and noise when Tom's Hardware tested a whole bunch of the after market coolers on the r9 290x. The other thing is there is no reason to spend more money on the weaker nvidia cards unless you have a weaker power supply

My guess is that the cheaper one has the really terrible stock cooler on it, and you really don't want one of the GPU's with the stock cooler on it, so unless you can find the custom cooled sapphire card for less than that, I would say that the gtx 780 is the better bet then and I would go with either the MSI card or the EVGA ACX superclocked one
