Is this for gaming or...?

For the ram check to see which CL timing it has. Generally you want to aim for CL9. The lower the better. You still won't notice a difference between the three anyways, so go for the cheapest ram.

If you're cooler is compatible with this ram, it's a great choice for the price:

Is it worth spending an extra 15 USD to get TridentX 16 GB 2400 or just stick with TridentX 16 GB 1866?

99% of the builds I do has the GSKILL Ripjaws installed. The Trident are better, but usually cost a few bucks more, and unless you are really stressing the system, there isn't a huge performance gain.

Get the 2400's your build can run it , and 15 extra isn't bad.

For now I will be using the Case fans, like 5 of them I think, and might add a Cooler Master Hyper 212

without knowing the ram installed, without benchmarks, if we could only play games, will most of us notice the difference? all things being equal of course, just different set of rams

PCPartsPicker on Trident X 16 GB 2400 says that it has compatibility issues and that Haswell allows a maximum voltage 1.5 V. The Trident X has 1.65 V. Will it be still able to work? Am a noob heh
