Hi this is a new PC I wonder why every time my dads mobile connect to my wifi network it keeps disconnecting my computer from the wireless? When I use my cell phone it has 0 problems. Anyone know whats the problem here? Thanks

Look on your router configuration page and note the IP address of your PC. Have your Dad connect and see what IP address he has. If you both are connecting with the same IP address, this could be creating the problem.

open your router admin panel and then go to the wireless tab

then go to the DHCP reservation tab

then add your machines mac address to it and then save the changes.

you will not face any problem with it.

it is the ip address i am talking about mac address (physical address)

if you are using windows then open cmd and type the command "getmac" and you will find your address.

yes you have to do that if you are using the lan cable if you are using the wireless then you have to find the same settings in wireless tab

I still cant find the one with wireless in Netgear Genuine only if you had Netgear but thanks for assistance.

i am not having the netgear but most of the router is having the same settings. try in the lan setting where u have found the reservation.

i think it may be there in the security tab.

find the DHCP settings

the DHCP settings contains the solution.
