G'day mate.
No, okay being fully serious. Hello.

I am an Australian PC user (yes, we do exist), and in recent months I have been looking at building a PC. At the moment, I am using my old Toshiba something-or-rather laptop for gaming, and wanting to use it for Video Editing. I have an under $1650 budget, and need to include a monitor with that. I plan on using this new computer for beginners video editing, however hope to progress forward in upcoming years; and also to game.
So far I have managed to come up with a PC that fits the budget, that seems great, except for the fact that Amazon has ridiculous shipping and taxing prices to Australia.
So far, my PC consists of:

CPU - Intel i5 4690K ($230)
MotherBoard - ASUS Z-97 Deluxe Wifi/AC ($210)
GPU - Gigabyte GTX 770 ($320)
Case - NZXT H440 White ($110)
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 1866MHZ ($80)
PSU - Corsair RM Gold 750W ($125)
SSD - Samsung 840 EVO 250GB ($130)
Monitor - Asus MX239H 23in 1080p 60Hz ($200)
Cooler - NZXT X61 Kraken ($140)

What I was wondering, is whether anyone knows a cheap place to get Australian products, or anyway to lower some of the items on this order list, so that it may make the order cheaper.
Thanks :)
Also, anything people think I should change, if I want to use this for beginners video editing, and gaming.

At least you guys aren't as obscure as us New Zealanders :p

Your build looks good, it provides headroom for SLI in the future as well as overclocking if you want to experiment.

The i5 is the best option for gaming at the moment, and can still handle video editing. If you plan to go 24/7 rendering, then the i7 would probably be the better option.

Of course, the pricing is an issue though, so Joeteoh's build may be a good option. I would look at getting your RAM and SSD from Amazon if you can, because it will still be cheaper than getting it locally.

Have a look at Newegg too, as they recently added the option to buy and ship to NZ and may offer the same for Australia.
How ya doing? Glad to see a fellow Aussie too and yes for the record we are great gamers too. Yes there are cheaper places to get computer parts! Have you tried MSY or CentreCom (who are having a deal for most of their parts now).

There's a great website that most home builders use, PCPartPicker. This website allows you to pick the parts you want and you may find a cheaper price.

Try this build. Yes if you realise it is the same as my build.

Love it that I've found another Aussie.
Okay well firstly, I will got NZXT, but I adore the H440 in white, and will have to go with that; which further means I may want water cooling to go with it. So I do not ultimately know what to do in terms of that; but the Kraken X61 is about $150 so it gets expensive; and I do plan on Overclocking.
I also don't have a freaking ethernet port yet, so I was just wondering if there's any motherboard that includes wifi/ac for a cheaper price than the ASUS, plus the H440 doesn't do Optical drives.
I do not mind removing the HDD and replacing it with a larger SSD since I'd only upgrade it later.
Also yeah need the 750W PSU for Overclocking, I'll stick with the ASUS monitor as well because I love it; and I do not have a quarrel with dropping to the i5 CPU since I'd only be beginning to video edit. But so MSY or CentreCom are both good choices? and I've been using PCPartPicker, I just find Amazon can be cheaper sometimes.
But thanks, I'll give it some thought, come back tomorrow with more ideas.

You are right. Amazon does do cheaper price. I added your parts without including the case and the price exceeded AUD$1650 so it is pretty tough to get cheap prices in Australia. Sorry about that. This is mostly due to the wireless network adapter in the mobo, why don't just get the external one?

Depends on whether the Wifi Network Adapter can allow for bluetooth (or even if the mobo can) and whether it requires an Optical Drive. I don't wish to purchase an Optical drive and the case doesn't allow for one, plus bluetooth would come in real handy with speakers and headphones I have.
