I just bought a new mobo and cannot find cmos jumper cable. I have no idea what it is. Is it necessary? Mobo is msi z97 gaming5 and case is thermaltake chaser mk1. Please help

Solution
i just realized two things:

1) i installed this exact motherboard for a friend when he was building a gaming PC. it was on sale at Microcenter for $90 when bought with a CPU. i found the manual for this board laying around from that build. and no, it does not come with a jumper, just like you said. there is also no indication of an existing CMOS reset button. only a reset pin.

2) MSI is retarded.

all you can do at this point is try to hunt down a jumper. it's a pretty standard item even radio shack sells them. at least the used to. if you have a copper cable you can just use that.

There is no button on this motherboard. It has two pins that is used where you put a cap on them to toggle them on and off. I cannot find that cap. If what i understand is true

i love their in store CPU/motherboard deals! i saved $100 compared to newegg or TD even while paying taxes!
5930K was $500
Gigabye X99 Gaming G1 wifi was $310.
$840 after tax.
and i got a free microcenter mug and a cup of coffee. lol

at newegg it is $590 + $350 = $940. plus i would have had to wait all of labor day weekend to get it.
