Hello Everyone,
I've decided that I want to get into making YouTube videos. I have everything I need except a video editing program and I'm having trouble deciding which program to go with. I'm only doing light work but I would like a program that offers effects like chroma key and 3D editing (for intros maybe?). I looked around and everyone seemed to say Adobe Premiere / After Effects but I really don't like the pay by month stuff and prefer to just pay up front. So I looked at the CS6 page and Premiere Pro is $1000 (A "little" over budget). Can anyone recommend a program like premiere but isn't to expensive? I had a look at Sony Vegas Pro 13 and that seemed good. Is that a good program? My budget is $600.
If you need specs just ask.
Thanks,
Tom

In addition to the one suggested by i7Baby you may want to consider Corel VideoStudio Pro (https://store.videostudiopro.com/1184/purl-KWS_CBPP_VSp...) ($67.99 for the "regular" version, $99.99 for the Ultimate version) OR Premiere Elements (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1004070-REG/adobe...) $84.95 for boxed or download version OR Lightworks Pro (http://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=a...) which is $279.99 for the outright purchase of the software (there is a free version available but it lacks many of the codecs available in the Pro version) OR Sony Vegas (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegassoftware) - there are several versions to choose from ranging from the Movie Studio series to the Pro series.
