Hi, my cpu temp is a constant 11C, both in BIOS and aida64.
Because of this, it seems that my fans always run on the minimum speed.
Is it a faulty sensor or something?

Solution
It might be faulty sensor. You can RMA the MoBo if you want or just get the fan controller (I know I'm saying this again and again) to set the speeds right. 11C contant temp is something unheard of until you live in like alaska with no heating system.
CPU Temps are highly inaccurate, Package temps are much better. Your package temp is 32C which is perfectly normal, assuming they're the idle temps. Why will the fans run at higher speed when they're able to control the temps to very safe levels on min. speed? Nothing is faulty, you just got a cool tower, enjoy :)

Hi, I am on a custom loop, and the radiator fans are connected to cpu and cpu_opt header. When i start rendering, the CPU usage goes to 100% and the fans remain at minimum. Because of that i assumed that the bios is using the CPU temp as a guide, as it is the only CPU temperature that you can see in bios.

Oh yes, the CPU is 4770k OC'ed to 4.5

Hi, the problem is that bios is using CPU temperature as a reference for determining the fan speed. As my CPU temperature is always stuck at 11 degrees Celsius, the fans never ramp up. The result is my CPU hitting 78c.
I also tried downgrading bios to older version but nothing changed...

Ok, so you say that CPU temp stuck at 11C is normal and not faulty?

It may be a BIOS error, just do a CMOS clean/ BIOS reset and it'll fix the issue, or else you can just ignore it and get a fan controller to be able to control the fans and set speed. Neither is your CPU nor MoBo is fualty, the BIOS has just got stuck (maybe) on a wrong value, so a reset is all it takes to make it good again.

Cleared the CMOS, but the temperature remained at 11C :(
