You need to give a bit more detail -

post your complete and detailed build.

What game(s) were you playing?

What voltage, fan speed, gpu clock, memory clcok, power setting?

Do you still own it?

1. MUST: Please remove the graphics card from the slot and place it back again carefully.

2. Before updating to the newer version, how old was your graphics card?

3. Download and Install MSI afterburner and post either a screenshot or the details (the Core Voltage, Fan Speed, Graphics Clock (Core Clock), Memory Clock)

4. Before posting it, make sure you've clicked RESET button.

5. Disable Aero Theme because I've seen a few around tomshardware, having troubles with the new version of graphic driver from nvidia when aero theme is enabled.

6. Need details of the PSU as well.

Hi @ MostWantedSoulRider, thanks for replying

1. I will do this tomorrow, as my friend will help, as i am a noob on this kinda thing. A question though, if this does fix the issues, what have caused this issues and how does doing this fix will fix it?

2. My driver version before the update is GeForce 337.88 Driver. how old it is? i say 2012

3. I post a screenshot of it ASAP

4. Before posting what exactly?

5. I'll post the result ASAP, but aero never caused any serious problems before.

6. My PSU: XFX XPS 650W XXX Edition Power Supply

Hello @i7Baby, thanks for replying

My spec
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Memory: 16gb
VGA: GTX 680

The game i played is Company of Heroes 2, it never had this problem before.

I didn't do any editing or overclocking if that's what you mean.

Hi,

1. A month ago, one of our tomshardware members posted the same temperature issue. I don't remember the card he owned but I suggested him to fix the graphics card properly into the slot. First, slide the chip inside the slot and let the card stand over it. In the next step, push the WHOLE card into the slot in such a way that the chip enters the pci slot completely in one single shot. Within 30 minutes of my suggestion, he replied that it successfully controlled the card's temp which reached only 75 C during the load.

2. I asked about the card's age just to make sure it's not very old.

3. If taking screenshot and posting it down in your reply makes your life harder, enter the values you see in MSI afterburner. I've already quoted what values you should use to reply us with.

4. After Installing MSI afterburner, you will see three buttons - APPLY, RESET, SETTINGS. Just click the reset button to make sure the clock values are at default. (And do not forget to restart your computer when it asks you to, at the end of installation because it needs to find the exact clock values of your card). After reset, test your card and see if the temp does not surpass 81 C.

5. You have stated that aero theme never brought you any graphic card related issues. But, I'm advising you to turn it off and read the temp under load. Latest Nvidia drivers are bringing up some troubles with few users.

6. Your PSU has a good build quality. Let's see if any of my suggestions help you in mitigating the GPU temp. You might need to keep an eye on the power supply unit only if none of the solutions work out.

Yep, that's pretty much normal. You have absolutely nothing wrong with your card or setup.

Your card is completely alright. The temperature doesn't matter as long as the fan speed stays below 48-50%. GPU usage will go even 99%. Don't worry about it, OP. I think you might even have a headroom for overclocking the GPU. Just work around the core voltage with a very small extent from the stock. This would help you to remove choppy gameplay, stuttering on intense graphics and other minor lags.

Yeah I agree, your temps are fine.

You may find it worth replacing the thermal paste if you want to drop temps down.
