After returning the last few parts I ordered due to faults, I've been thinking about what I want to build due to an extra few quid in my pocket and would like some advice. I mainly play games on my PC (Natural Selection 2/ RTW 2 etc) and having always gone for Intel chips in the past, I figured I'd try out AMD's CPU.

Already acquired:
250gb samsung SSD
Sapphire R7 260x 2gb OC
HX 520 Corsair PSU (few years old)

Thinking of getting:
1) AMD FX8320 Black Edition 8 Core (3.5/4.0GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 8MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+, 125W
2) Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 Motherboard (AMD 970, SB950, DDR3, S-ATA 600, ATX, 2 x eS-ATA, 2 x USB 3.0, Socket AM3+
3) Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL9 XMP
4) Pioneer DVR-221LBK 24x SATA DVD/CD Burner with Label Flash (Will be upgrading from my ancient 4x DVD/CD writer, ha)

The above are currently going altogether on Amazon for £247. Budget is around £350. Ideally I'd like a new case too, and wondering whether to get a new PSU as my current one is a few years old, hence why I haven't gone all the way in my budget.

I welcome and look forward to your input!

Thanks for the input guys. Out of what specs I posted and the specs Joeteoh posted, which one would be better for gaming? I've heard AMD chipsets would do well with the sapphire r7 260x?

Don't forget if you overclock yours you will then require a CPU cooler.
