Hello,

My system is running Windows 8. The C drive basically was partitioned to 50GB and overtime it got filled up and I was only left with 200MB space. So I decided to extend the drive. So I emptied D drive and used the OS installer disk.

But instead of deleting D drive I accidently deleted F drive which was 130GB and extended C drive by 50GB from the unallocated space and the remaining approx. 80GB space I made it a new drive.

But now I want the content back which was originally in F drive. Plz help me, it's very critical. I did use EASEUS data recovery and used its recover deleted partition option. It did manage to list the files. But when I recovered them (about 11GB) all the images retained their name and size but none got opened. They are all corrupted. Please help me through this.

It did not take too more space. Infancy I reinstalled windows 8 on to C drive. The problem was none of the softwares worked not even the uninstaller. So had no other way. And I deleted the partition because I couldn't extend the drive directly as only C drive was logical and rest were in a different format so had to delete a partition and the extend C.

Yep that is about right. If the data was corrupted because you changed partition sizes (changing the values on the platters to adhere to the new sizes) there isn't much hope of recovery with such major changes. IF THESE FILES ARE SO CRITICAL, then you need to STOP using the computer, remove the HD and send it to a DATA RECOVERY SPECIALIST. Your looking at Thousands to Tens of Thousands of dollars to recover the data using specialized machines, but there is still a probability of major corruption of the files given you altered the partition sized.

Got it, I will try the solutions suggested by others and if nothing works I'll give it to a professional. But I've a thought. A system recovery image is created as soon as I installed Windows 8. Should I restore it? Will it bring any luck?
