An i5 is always going to be better than an i3 since it has 4 actual cores.

The i5 is better, not only because more cores. It also has twice the cache. I don't really like cpuboss for CPU comparisons, but just to see the spec differences, it is useful.

Of course the i5 gives better performance while gaming than i3
-i5 is quad core and has double cache memory
-Intel's processors have strong single core performance so 4 cores are enough

Flat out false on the i3 comment. They are still pretty good budget gaming chips. The i5 is just better.

I play bf4 on ultra with a r9 270 oc. CPU is an i3 4150 and I have to say its a beast. The i3 is only on 85% load. The r9 270 is 95-100% load while mid game. Getting at an average 70 fps. So I can't see the point of an i5 unless you are going to run higher then an r9 280.

Sweet as bro, i3's are a brutal little chip, i love it when im playing BF4 and someone is bragging "oh i have and i7 this and a gtx 780 that and 16 GB ram this." playing at 120 fps or some shit. And im like well i have a rig that cost 1/4 of yours and im playing at 80 fps

and then they go silent.
