Agreed.

ASUS, ASROCK, GIGABYTE and MSI are decent brands, anything else I would stay away from.
ASROCK is generally the best "budget" brand, but in your case the ASROCK and MSI boards are the same in price.
FYI I am using ASROCK in both my linux htpcs and ASUS in my desktop and file server.

Memory
Model#: M378B1G73BH0-CK0

M378B1G73BH0-CK0 SAMSUNG 8GB DDR3 1600MHZ PC3-12800 240PIN CL11 NON-DUAL RANK ECC UNBUFFERED DIMM MEMORY
Don't know the rest I'll have to check them when I can get near them

You did not include RAM memory in your parts list.

The GT 610 is actually less powerfull then the Integrated graphics in modern intel chips.
I would get a haswell i3 cpu for about the same amount of money as that x4 + gt610, since steam does not support multithreaded currently there is no bennifit in having a low end quad core vs a stronger dual core. Also by starting out intel you have a good upgrade path, while starting with FM2 you are pretty much maxed out from the start.

You should try to at least get a better gpu. I would not call the G610 a ''graphics'' card but more of a ''video'' card. Anything from the Gt630 upwards i would recommend. I had that and I played any game even Watch dogs

I get that you dont have $500 to spend on a cpu, I dont expect you to.

In cost the i3 almost = x4 + GT 610. In performance, espically in steam that does not do multithreading i3 > x4 + GT 610. So for maybee a $10-15 difference you can get noticably better performance going intel i3 instead of GT 610.
I am not saying that you need to go out and spend $500 on an i7 today, I am giving you a better option for nearly the same amount of money.
