Hello. I'm currently building a new PC and have decided to use a SSD for the OS. When I boot into the BIOS for the first time, is it possible to install the contents of Win 8.1 OEM disc onto the SSD or is there some snag in the process?
Thanks

Yes, you can install that directly on the SSD.

Verify your boot order
Check for AHCI mode in the BIOS
Have the SSD connected to the first SATA port (not really necessary, but prevents future confusion)
Install

Treat it the same as a regular HDD.... When you go to a SSD you should not notice any difference (but the speed)
