I am trying to find a way to override the error messages to use the generic ink cartridges in an HP 8600 PLUS All In One. I need reports now and leaving to buy them is not an option I am exercising yet, I would like to solve this as I have a slew of generic re-manufactured ink cartridges for my machine.
Thank you!!

What's the error message? And if it's relay caused by the cartridge, the manufacturer should tell you how to get around this. No hint on the box or something?

Thank you for asking. The error message is..."One or more cartridges appear to be damaged. Remove them and replace with new cartridges."

I had replaced the HP Black ink cartridge with a generic ink re-manufactured cartridge (RCN045 to be used for HP OfficeJet Pro 8100/8600/8600PLUS etc.)

when I put the empty HP black cartridge back in then it will give me the option to print in all color only, but when I replace the HP Black with the generic Black, it gives me this message and will not print at all.
