How do I have dual display with these?

Here's the back of my system unit.

Since the other port doesn't work even if I have VGA to DVI adaptor. Will the mini display ports on the right work so I could have dual displays? And if I buy a VGA to Mini Displayport, will that work?

One port is dvi-i, the other is dvi-d which is why only one works with a passive dvi to vga adapter. Active mdp to vga adapter is cheaper than active dvi-d to vga but any active adapter would work.

A mini display port to VGA adapter should work just fine. Are your DVI ports busted? If not then you may want to try a different DVI to VGA adapter. Hard for me to say that the display port method will work if your having issues with your graphics card.
