So I have this problem described in the title aswell on my other pc...

After I open Recordingdevices (http://prntscr.com/4iz87j) and then click on something rundll32.exe crashes (http://prntscr.com/4iz9so) so I can't acces these settings.

Anyone knows why this happens?

Fresh install doesn't work as I have this both on my fresh build pc and my old one

Tried using sfc but it doesn't work.

Can't find any working answers on the internet either.

A rundll32.exe error usually occurs whenever your PC is not responding correctly due to either a corrupted software application (registry entry) or a faulty hardware device

this recording device is it native or a program you installed or do the boards audio drivers need to be reinstalled or up dated?

that's a core windows thing and unless its corrupt on the windows disk its self it would be a hardware or software issue out side of windows [opinion]

I have installed a virtual audio cable and am using a usb microphone.

I have installed the realtek audio drivers from the mobo cd.

looking at that link I just sent there using that virtual audio cable and looked like they needed to update/install Microsoft Visual C++

that's where I would go and get them all in

I have installed all of them from 2005 to 2013 on this windows 7 some programs require you to get these things to work and just like the direct x 9 runtime and .net

could just be that file its wanting to call up is not included on the copy of windows and needs one from the other Microsoft Visual C++ to work?

I have installed the ones I could and repaired the ones I could, except the 2005 ones.

They stopped installing after they were configuring it.

It doesn't work tho :/

Remote.dll is for using dual recievers btw.

Update: I can now right mouse button VAC (http://prntscr.com/4izw0x) but not the mic

It's not really a fresh install anymore since I got it for a couple of weeks already, but still.

The old pc hasn't got VAC installed but it still happens when a microphone has been plugged in.

The mic in the old pc was for the back or front jacks. Tried it didn't work as I've said.

That's just another version of VAC.

VAC isn't the problem:
