If you are in the US and want something a little cheaper but still good quality

Rosewill CAPSTONE-1000-M $96

Im in the uk bit pricey here tho £125 best price ive found so far i had planned on getting this
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA...
but worried it may lack headroom for aging or an upgrade its going in my current build but got a asus r9 280x on its way and will add another soon.i have got a figure of 850/900 watts from various sites as recommended psu so unsure if the seasonic one ive linked will be ok what do you think?

Most would recommend 900W for two R9 280X, but really, a high quality 850W can easily power that system. And the one you linked is extreme high quality. Seasonic is one of the best in the business.

I agree seasonic are my no.1 choice but on this site http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine
it says to allow for -quote Electrolytic capacitor aging. When used heavily or over an extended period of time (1+ years) a power supply will slowly lose some of its initial wattage capacity. We recommend you add 10-20% if you plan to keep your PSU for more than 1 year, or 20-30% for 24/7 usage and 1+ years.- end quote
so when i factor that in im not sure i dont need a little over the top

The R9 280x tdp is 250W at full load. So with two that's 500W. I don't know what processor you are running, but an i7 won't break 90W. So a 850W PSU leaves you with 260W for the rest of the system. That's still a lot of room. That said, personally I'd get a 900W-1000W. It is overkill but that's what I'd do.

The Be Quiet! unit i mentioned is probable the best bang for your buck in that list, a smidgen over £100 which is £30+ cheaper than the other 1000w PSUs I linked

Tier 2 class A is still top notch, and will easily handle 280x's and last a long time.

It's made by FSP. They are hit and miss, but this unit being looked at is great quality. If you're on a budget, I'd take it. But if you can dish out the quids, go for the supernova, that is an amazing PSU.

It may be cheaper but I'll A Super Flower over an FSP any day , SF is higher quality.
