Hey guys, building my first pc and I have purchased everything except for the gpu. I plan on assembling everything so all I have to do to finish is install gpu when I get i. But I was wondering if I could go ahead and boot everything and install the OS without it? I know you can do that on some Intel builds but not sure about AMD.

Build:
fx-6350
gigabyte ga-970-ud3p
g skill ripjaws x 1866 4 gb
1 tb seagate barracuda
500 w Evga B

windows 8.1

More about : boot gpu

Nope. You do not have an onboard graphics chip.

It looks like your build does not have onboard video, so no.

No that cpu does not have Intergrated graphics, you would need a cpu with an APU/Intergrated graphics or a graphics card to run it. It might turn on but you wouldnt beable to get a video output, Especially since that board doesnt even have a video output.

In short, no video card (integrated or dedicated) = no video output.

I always have a very low cost GPU to troubleshoot systems. Like a GT 210.
