Does Linux have drivers for Motorola DVR's

I wan't to connect my Comcast DVR to my computer via firewire and record a few shows I have recorded. I know this is possible with XP, but not sure about Linux(Ubuntu).

No OS will provide drivers for 3rd party hardware(only generic drivers for GPUs, mouse, keyboard for basic use). The driver must come from Motorola, check with them.

This is also a violation (data rights) of Comcast (and Federal) rules. The content is encrypted on the DVR device and can only be decrypted by that device.
