Like I said, my friend gave me this to look at, I've never built a PC before(this is actually my first PC, not including laptops) and would like to know if there's anything better than what's currently put in there.

Ideally the price would be under £500, but if there's something which will improve it a lot, I don't mind spending a little more...

Thanks in advance for any responses!

For some reason the preview button isn't working... hopefully the formatting will be alright :/

It has problems.

You have an overclocking motherboard with a locked CPU. (change to h97)
PSU is too low wattage and poor quality. (change to Antec, XFX, Seasonic 500w+ unit)
CPU is not the refresh version (4150)
no HDD in adition to the SSD.

Thanks for the quick reply!

About the 4th point, I already have some external hard drives at home which I'll use for storage until I can afford an internal hdd, but I'll change the others now :)

You can take apart the external HDD and it is just an internal drive inside.

You should NOT be installing programs to an external drive.

I wasn't planning on installing programs to it, I'm not planning on using it as my second HDD for long, but I'll probably try and crack it open, now that I think about it, thanks!

I have done it with many external drives. Both the HDD in my computer and the one in my GF's computer are both from external drives.
