I have a brand new Lenovo U530 Touch with a Broadcom 802.11ac Network adapter running windows 8.1 and I am having issues connecting to my wireless router at home. I am able to connect to the WiFi at my school, but not home. I have a Linksys WRT54Gs wireless router connected to my cable modem. Everyone else is able to connect to the internet except me. What is the problem?? I get "Limited Connectivity" and No Internet Access. Upon running a diagnostic scan It finds that there is a problem with the wireless adapter or access point and the WiFi doesn't have a valid IP configuration. I would really like to get this fixed seeing as this laptop is even a week old and I already have problems. Is it my router, my laptop, or windows 8.1??

Try restarting the router (if no on/off switch just unplug from mains supply then plug it back in).
Wait until it is lit up properly and ready to use, then restart your laptop.
