You can only receive data as fast as someone is providing.

Lets say you can catch a baseball thrown at 100 miles per hour. If a ball is thrown from a person at 30 miles per hour, it does not matter how fast of a ball you are capable of catching, it is still going to only get there at 30 miles per hour.

If you have gone to speedtest.net and you got 332kbps then everything is working. I have 30mbps down speed and I almost never get more then 8-12 mbps on torrents.

Are you reading the speed from something like speedtest.net? Because if that is the speed that your service provider advertises, or you are getting it directly from one of those site, it is megabits per second, to get what you will actually download at(because no one measure files by bits), you have to divide by 8(8 bits in a byte), and then by 1,000(the first just gives you bytes per second, this changes it to kilobytes per sec which is what most people will see unless you have super high speed net, then divide by 1,000 again and get your MB/s).

332 kbps = 41.5 KB/s actual download, so if that is the case you are doing better than your service told you

Edited for stupid mistake, I wish I had 332Mbps internet lol
