I have just built a computer with an msi Z87-G43 8gb ram kingston (4gbx2) and 1TB of hard drive. When I turned it on I went into BIOS and had arranged the boot device priority but when I reboot I get the message "Reboot and select proper boot device. Or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" I have rearranged the devices many times but still the same error. I have looked it up but I can't find a solution. I need to install Windows 7 Home Premium. Please Help!!!

That is some pretty dated advice there, since I am assuming the OP is not using an IDE drive from the mid 2000s.
I dont think I have seen a new drive with master/slave pin on it in 5 years.

On most BIOS you need to set your hard drive specific boot priority, and then under your general boot priority select your hard disk group first.

No I do not have an IDE. I am using a SATA Hard drive. It is a seagate Hard drive 1TB. I am trying to install windows with a cd. Do I have to boot from Hard drive or CDROM?

The Order that I had put is Hard disk ST1000DM003003-1CH162, UEFI Hard Disk, UEFI USB Hard Disk, USB Hard Disk, CD/DVD:ASUS DRW-24B1ST i, UEFI CD/DVD, UEFI USB CD/DVD, UEFI USB Key, UEFI Network, USB CD/DVD, USB Key, USB Floppy, Network. Do I have to change the order?

You need to either select the cd drive as your first boot device and let windows install and then when it restarts go back into bios and make the hard drive the first drive.

Or the easier thing to do is leave your setup with hard drive as first device and use the f8 or f12 or whatever hotkey your motherboard uses for its single time boot menu (consult manual if you cant figure it out) and select your dvd/cd drive from there.

Also, is this a supplied from microsoft windows 7 cd or a burned cd?

If it is a burned CD, you cant just drag and drop the files to the cd as it will then not be bootable. You have to use a program like Ashampoo, Nero, Roxio, MagicISO, etc that can copy the ISO (disc image) to the new disk you are burning to. Without doing this your CD will be missing the boot image, it wont be bootable, and will be useless for installing windows.

Ok so I put it as my first device and rebooted it but same message. Another thing is that my dvd drive is an ASUS (http://www.amazon.com/Asus-Serial-ATA-Internal-Optical-DRW-24B1ST/dp/B0033Z2BAQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1409690658&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+dvd+drive) And when I turn on the computer the dvd drive makes a noise meaning that it is reading the disc but then it stops. Also there is a green light with it and it is on when I open it and close it and reads it but then turns off. Do I have to get a new dvd drive?
