Is 5830K a viable choice for 2 way SLI or Crossfire ,as it's a 28 BIT CPU so don't going to support SLI or CF in x16,X16 mode ?
Is it going to be a huge upgrade over 4770K or should I be waiting for skylake?

P.S: haven't considered 5960K or 5930k as they are quite pricy for gaming ,also astonishingly in gaming 5830K performs better than them. Also I am not a Content creator either .This is purely for gaming.I am not going to buy it to run CAD or Sculpting ,Video editing or DAW application.

For gaming, as things are now, the Haswell refreshes are really your best money-performance ratio. Anything beyond an i5 is really overkill for most games, since few, if any, games really support the level of multi-threading needed for i7s to be of much benefit.
