Looking for a new processor for my rig

Hey i am searching for a new processor to upgrade my current one that is AMD FX6100 bulldozer..Please suggest me some good high end processors...It must support my motherboard that is asus m5a97 r2.0..my budget is around $250 dollars.I am from india..

My rigs specs :

mobo : ASUS M5A97 R2.0
processor : AMD FX6100
graphic card : Nvidia GTX 650 1GB DDR5
PSU : Cooler Master Thunder 650 watts
case : CM HAF912 side transparent
ram : Transcend DDR3 8 GB
cpu cooler : CM hyper 212x

If you're into overclocking, save a few bucks and get the 8320 and overclock it a little bit. It's the same chip running at a slower stock speed. You can simply raise it to or above 8350 speeds for less money.

i am not into overclocking stuff...so fx8350 is a good choice for that price right??

I don't use AMD CPU's, but according to people it's a great CPU for gaming. What marsah11 suggested is a great idea, but if you're not into overclocking then yes the fx 8350 is a good upgrade choice.

fx8350 or 8370E which is released today. Games that support full multicore are appearing so you're fine with 8 cores.

Also, just in case you didn't know, you must update your BIOS to the latest version if you haven't already. http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/HelpDesk_Dow... Here is the support page for your motherboard, and instructions on how to update your BIOS will be here in order to support your BIOS. You must be running version 1006 or higher. If you are already, you are fine. You can check by entering the BIOS.
