I am just about to buy a monitor today, and I wanted to get some advice. I am looking at the ASUS VS247 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236174) and the Dell S2430M (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824260109).
I was leaning towards the Dell because I saw it at Best Buy and it blew away all the other monitors there in picture quality (no Asus monitor there though), and since it is IPS.
But, the ASUS VS247 is recommend a lot more and has a lot higher contrast ratio (50 mil vs 8 mil).
Which one has the best picture and is better quality? And are there any other recommendations? I plan buying lightly used on eBay.
