Hi Everyone! I wanted to find out how the Activity Indicator LED for hard disks works and what controls it, but I couldn’t seem to find much information about it. I was thinking that there must be some sort of communication with some part of the system to the SATA controller which controls the LED. I believe it should be controlled via the ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) in some way, but does anyone know if there is some sort of standard for the implementation, or does it differ for different manufacturers? Would be happy if anyone had any ideas where I could look into to find out more as well.
