So was wondering if anyone can help me. Dont know if its a problem or if its just how it is ?
I have a 500Gig Hd for my OS Win 7 64bit Ultimate and the 2x2terrabite hds and one 1.5Terrabite.
With only my 500gig connected i have no problems but when i have other drives any of the above connected i keep hearing the drive(s) spinning up the hole time and sometimes it will spin and the pc will freeze for a few seconds.... and then continue working again.
Its very anoying especially while playing my online games, that few seconds matters.
I recently changed the power plan to power saver and the drives in the advanced settings is set to power of every 20min when not in use but that didnt seem to help. Its been like this for very long now and dont know anymore what to do.
Could it be the Sata cables ? i know i have a few oldish sata cables in or is it just Windows accessing the drive for some reason ? and then ofcourse could it be a virus causing the hds to spin up when not even in use ?
