I am tying to clone my 1TB WD HDD drive (drive E).
I have a new samsung evo 1TB SSD. This is my new drive E to be.
The OS lives on C drive a smaller samsung SSD.
I have unplugged the C drive, hitched up the new Evo to a SATA port and I'm trying to clone the HDD to my SSD about 600gb of data including games and steam.
Now, 1 hour and 30 mins into the cloning process using SpotMau, it is sat at 99% and claims it has copied over 200000mb of data. Quite a feat considering the source and target disks are only 1TB or 100000mb.
What have I done wrong?
I didnt format the new drive or do anything else, afaik neither drive has a partition on it though I have been using it as my gaming drive for over 2 years?
Anything I need to do different or change or what?
